40 Mile Week Well I just concluded my 40 mile week.
It was tough.
I had good motivation all week. I kept right on top of my diet so that my body was properly fueled.
The morning runs are tough. I'm going before breakfast, so my glycine blood levels are in the basement. This induces lipolysis (fat burn).
After several clean meals I run at night and have much more energy.
So far my joints are not complaining (I watch my left knee close).
My quads are burnt though. Need this recovery day, though I will probably hit the weight pile for upperbody (just a short chest workout).
I'll see how I feel Sunday, to decide whether I want to do another 40 mile week.

A 40 mile week is impressive. Running is one sport/activity that I don't know much about. I go for a hike/jog only occasionally. I have a friend is is currently training for a half-Ironman in July so I have been learning a bit about running distances, times, etc. Her run is going to be a 13-mile course of hilly terrain, starting first with a 1.2 mile swilm, and a 56 mile bike route.

Ran 10 on Friday morning in iceland. It was cool.
Unfortunately, my workout schedule was severely impacted by that trip.
