A scam for THE THING signed poster on eBay
DO NOT bid on this. When I first saw this I immediately contacted some of the biggest poster collectors on the planet, and they all said to stay clear of this guy. I was hoping for it to be true, but was suspicious. This is supposed to be a cast signed poster of the movie. First of all, the dimensions are wrong for an actual poster. The '82 glowface is 27x41, not 27x40 which is the more modern size. An oversite, maybe... It was pointed out to me that John Carpenter, Kurt Russell, Keith David, David Clennon, Wilford Brimley, and Ennio Morricone have never been in the same room. It's also well known that Brimley has shunned THE THING, and wants nothing to do with it. Even the background on how they procure all their posters doesn't sit right. Check out the other items this seller has. It's all too good to be true. Although I'm not a poster collector per se, I've been around long enough to know that this is a scam.
