Anyone know about future action figures?
Anyone? I wish SOTA would release all 12 characters in superposeable models, a little bigger than the 6 1/2 inch G.I. Joes, and throw a few thing-monsters in there, too. I would so play with those things for hours. I don't care if I'm 18, I would pimp that shit out.

Judging by SOTA's work on the recent Norris Spider-Head and the just released MacReady Vs. Kennel-Thing diorama I'd totally THING-out if they announced they were doing all 12 men. Too cool, but I doubt we'll see it. I still think for me I'd love to have a figure of the Norwegian-Thing, the split faces and the whole body. There was rumor a few years back that Todd MacFarlane was gonna do a MacReady figure with flamer/pistol/shotgun/sombrero... I should have SOTA's MacReady Vs. Kennel-Thing diorama box set by late next week and will be posting a full report and pics. I have been seeing that it is sellng out on some sites already too.... I'll see if SOTA has any future THING figures planned. T

Although not an action figure I have been in touch with a pro model maker who's interested in making a fullsized Norris Creature!!! I've asked him to keep me posted, but haven't heard from him in several months.

Another idea that has yet to be tapped would be a diorama of the rec room when Palmer is morphing. Garry and Clark tied on the couch, Nauls tied to the chair. Mac could be in the center with the flamethrower in one hand and a dynamite stick in the other. The Palmer-thing would be in front of him, head split open and the tentacle-tongue hanging out a bit. Behind Palmer, crumpled and bloody, Windows. This would be an easy way to fit in a lot of character figures and at the same time have a nice little scene.

Neat idea zombie_carnage! Anything would be cool. News from SOTA is both their THE THING figures sold very well, and the Spider-Head is still currently sold out. They may do another THING figure yet. We'll see... T

Irish Thing: I actually did something like that with a few 6" G.I. Joe figures that I had. I recreated the blood -*test*-('") scene by taking pictures. I had posted it on the old board but it has sadly been deleted. I'd be happy to post it again if you'd like :D

Really? That would be Awesome! :D id love to see it, I always make little movies with those little toy soldiers, i just figured out how to do stop-motion well, so im gonna actualy make a remake with the little soldiers :P

Hey SNR! I still may have those pictures. It was made into a gif too wasn't it? I need to look up some old CD's I backed up, if you don't have it.

SNR- 02-19-2007

I'm not sure if it was made into a gif. I do remember HateWarrior putting it on his site, though. I have the pics, but they're all in bmp format, and the forum won't show them unfortunately. If you have them, you can post them. I'd appreciate it. :D If you don't, I can just post the links to photobucket.

Lol, i really wanna see them now :P

Hey there, I just wanted to say that I also recently purchased the MacReady kennel set, and was wondering if the Norris spider head was going to get rereleased I suppose, since it's sold out already. SOTA is a great company, but I never am able to keep up on their new products. Bought their Lovecraft figures which are awesome, so now I have a much greater interest in the company. Also, were/are there any other figures besides the ones McFarlane did (I think), you know, the Blair monster?

Todd- 03-11-2007

SOTA sent me a Spider-Head back in July and I gave it away at TF6. This week i finally got my own (huge thanks to Mr Lemay) and I love it. I highly recommend it, if you can find it on eBay, etc. as it is indeed sold out from SOTA. The Mac Vs. Kennel-Thing kicks ass too. T

There were various garage kits of the Blair-monster, but nothing bigger.
