Cardio Bikes Hey how has everyone been?
Recently I've been thinking about buying a cardio bike to mix up my routine and to do something that might be more easier on my legs. After a long day at work running around Kmart for hours my legs are beat so I think this might be a good option for something less stressful on my legs.
Right now I am looking at this one:
Weslo Bike
This one is 79.99 and right in my price range right now, but I don't want to buy something that is not going to get the job done. Does anyone here have experience with these cardio bikes? Are they effective? is this a good bike for its price? Compared to the treadmill how effective are they? Any other information about them would be appreciated.
Also right now I am doing 40 minutes on the treadmill when I can which is about four times a week (mainly in the beginning of the week since I work weekends). Is it a good idea to do 40 minutes on the treadmill and then workout with weights?
Thnx, for your help. :D

I've never heard of Weslo but it looks decent enough for the money.
If buying a stationary exercise bike will get you to exercise more and you use it regularly it is not a bad investment. In fact, it will be the best $80 you will ever invest in your entire life.
Do you also own a treadmill or do you go to a gym to do the treadmill/weights?
I'd recommend doing the treadmill after your weight training if you are trying to lose weight/burn bodyfat.

I do own a treadmill and I have also been slowly putting together my gym in my basement. Right now I've got a bench, a situp bench, 100 pound set of weights that came with a 15 pound bar, a 15 pound curling bar, 10-12-15-20 pound sets of free weights, two pilates balls at different sizes, a 100 pound punching bag, and then I have floor mats I bought that cover a big enough area to have both benches on them with enough space for me to do stuff in the middle also.
My plan once I make up my mind about getting this bike was to keep it upstairs in my room to use when I wake up along with the pull up bar in my bedroom door and then heading out to work/school and do the bigger workout when I get home.
I'll try switching around my cardio and weight lifting for a few weeks and see how that goes. I think I will start with a short jog on the treadmill and then hit the back a little or jump rope to warm up and then go into the weights.
