Does anyone own The Thing HD?
I read through the post of last year on The Thing release date...but I wanted to ask what people who owned the HD DVD version thought of the clarity? I know on Blu-Ray, depending on the source film, the dark scenes on certain movies get awful grainy. Like The Reaping, for instance was super sharp, but grainy as hell in the shadows. But on the other hand, Dawn of the Dead '78 on blu-ray is had more clarity in the dark scenes...How does The Thing HD look? I just got a PS3 and LCD TV this Christmas and was disappointed to find out that The Thing is only available on HD. I'm hoping Universal gives in and stops their exclusive contract with HD DVD. (Thats what all the other companies seem to be doing) As of now, 75% of all new movie releases will be on blu-ray.
