Easy way to kill Level 2 Boss Thing on PC Game
Howdy I found by accident an easy way to kill the level 2 bossthing; you don't risk any health or use any weaponry apart from flamethrower fuel. 1. After you switch on the power at the wall, turn to your left. You will be facing the wall of boxes with the bossthing behind it. 2. You should just be able to see a gap between the boxes, if not shuffle to your left (but not too far, otherwise you'll walk out in front of it). 3. Light up your flamethrower and aim it through the gap. 4. Listen to the bossthing scream! That's it - you'll hear it drop down dead and you can walk around in front of it. This worked for me whereas the other technique (throwing grenades and then coming round to shoot and torch it) didn't. All you've used is half a can of fuel at no risk to yourself. I should have posted this a long time ago, but didn't because...I've been stuck in the ice for 100,000 years...

Are ruptures = bosses in the games? In the enemies section of theoutpost31 The Thing video game info, there was a picture of a rupture which I have never encountered before. Was there a different between the PC retail version and the PS2 version?

There are some pics which are from early build of the game, must be the ones you're talking about. :wink:

Well you could play the game with no scripted burst-outs, but that's about it. :wink:
