If it's a true 1982 poster, then probably not. Unless it was encapsulated, otherwise, from a collecting point, the poster is considered virtually destroyed. If you don't care about that, and just want it for all the pride and joy, then by all means, it will be well preserved. Enjoy it. It's a beauty.
