Grasshopper's wife in Hospital Dear Friends and Members of the Outpost #31,
Since 8 days my wife is in hospital.
Linda suffers on high bloodpressure, which could lead to a danger for our child.
She's on medication to turn the pressure down and is getting surveys on a daily basis.
Looks like our child will be born premature, because they will not take any chances with the health of mother and child.
Linda and Eva are getting the best health care that Holland can give, so I am not that worried.
But she will be in hospital for several weeks to come.
I'll just sit here for a while and see what happens.

My thoughts and well wishes to you and soon to be family. Being a parent multiple times I know what you must be going through. You got to hang tough and believe all will turn out fine for both the baby and your wife.

I wish you, Linda, and your baby girl Eva all the best. pre-eclampsia can be very scary, but it is good that she is in hospital being treated. It seems you guys have not had anything easy, but because of that, your daughter will be even more precious to you. My thought and prayers are with you.

I hope to here from you again soon, grasshopper.
Do they happen to know what's causing the sudden increase in blood pressure? I hope they don't put her on too many harmful drugs cause it could hurt little Eva.
Give my best to Linda, and Eva next time you see her. :D
Take care of yourself, my friend.

First of all, many thanks for all the good wishes. With this kind of support, it must go the right way. Thank you, all. :D
F.F.: the bloodpressure has always been a weakness in Linda's health. So it's not new.
The higher bloodpressure has now resulted in 'pregnancy-poisoning' (I don't know the English word). Basically, it's something that will occur in most pregnancies, but in a later stadium than we see with my wife.
So, as a precaution, Linda has got 2 shots of medicine to 'hurry up' the building of lung-tissue in Eva. Should she be born now, chances of survival are increased.
The medication Linda get's will in no way hurt Eva.
Even more, Linda is denied a tranquiliser during the 'Ceasar-cut' (no natural birth), but she will get something that kills the pain.
I'll keep you all posted, and thanks again for the support.
:D
I'll tell my wife how everyone here stands with us.

I'm pretty sure the english word is eclampsia. my sister-in-law had pre-eclampsia (which is the high blood pressure before the poisoning happens)and had to be admitted to hospital for a couple of days when she was pregnant with my neice.
again, I hope everything goes well.
