Mac's Flamethrower After some searching I identified MacReady's flamethrower.
It is a Vietnam Era M2A1-7.

It's easy to find pictures of the earlier, WW2 flamethrower. The Vietnam Era one seen here wasn't used for very long. They were deemed obsolete after a few years of use and some were sold off to private parties (Hollywood etc.) but most of them were destroyed. I'd love to find a de-activated one or a mock up for my costume.

Where did you find the diagram?
I ask as I definitely want to beef up the 'Nam elements in my MacReady bio (perhaps even doing a separate page).
In fact I should probably email this to the figure maker now.
