My diet Todd, I was specifically hoping you could look at this and tell me what you think. I know you know a damn lot about how to maintain a clean diet.
Here's what I've been doing, more or less.
9 AM
banana or apple
handful of nuts
OR
3 hardboiled eggs
16 ounces of fat free milk
11 AM
Lean turkey wrap
Plenty of veggies
mustard
no mayo
no cheese
1 PM
Sushi
OR
bean burrito with hot sauce, no cheese
3 PM
Large bowl of chicken and wild rice soup
A hunk of cheese
more nuts
5 PM
Skinless chicken breast
brown rice
Spinach
I chug water all day long.
I might have a handful of nuts after 5pm, but that's about it. Otherwise, I feel sluggish for my run, usually around 9 at night (sometimes even later).
I would love to run in the am, but my schedule doesn't allow for that unfortunately, so I'm usually running after having lifted weights earlier in the day.
And I was allowing myself one cheat meal per week, but once I started seeing results, I kinda dropped the cheat meal thing.

Doesn't look too bad. Unless you absolutely love nuts for breakfast save them for afternoon or evening snack. Here's a revamped breakfast:
4 eggs (2 whites/2 whole) scrambled w/ olive oil
Piece of flaxseed/rye toast
apple
green tea
multi-vit/mineral
OR (this is what I usually eat)
1/2 cup oatmeal w/ added flax meal, hemp hearts, yogurt (Activia), fresh or frozen blueberries, kiwi (or other fresh fruit)
apple, orange or banana
green tea
multi-vit/mineral
I'd stay with the sushi over that bean burrito. Where are you getting that? The rest looks good. That is good you are running on an empty stomach. You can eat something after you r run when you get home before bed. Don't worry about that. In fact, DO eat something after running 5 miles before going to bed for the night. Eat your nuts then. (I'll add more in a bit...)

I'm definitely gonna try your breakfasts. I've got some recipe ideas for some meals that I'll post here over the next couple of days or so.
Thanks again Todd. You really do throw down some sound advice here, and I really appreciate it.
I just got back from racquetball and man, that kicked my ass. My partner is a local deputy sherrif and we just threw down. No rules, per say, just pushing volleys as hard as we could for about and hour and a half.
I felt like I was gonna barf.

The healthiest nut is the pecan, followed by the almond, then walnut. They are also the most expensive. :? I like them all but my fave is the macadamia, which is also very good for you but also not cheap either. :( (I love them covered in dark chocolate...!)

I'm all over those nuts.
That sounded a lot less gay in my head.
I've also seemed to plateau with the weight loss, which I expected.
I'm going to just keep chipping away at it.
My motivation is really strong right now, and my energy is there when I need it, which I credit the diet for.
