My favorite film of all time
I just had to join this site, John Carpenter's The Thing has to be my all time favorite horror film. I had the opportunity to see this film when it was first released at the drive in way back in 1982, I was 6 years old then, my dad was a big fan of the orginal. At 6 this movie scared the holy crap out of me at the time. I've seen this movie at least a thousand times since and still love it.

yah i would have to sya that The Thing is one of the best movies. i have seen it about 500 times especially everynight before i go to bed i almost yhave to watch it to go to sleep. seeing the blair monster just soothes me.
