I'd like to read The Thing novel. I found one written by Alan Dean Foster. I would like some feed back first before purchasing it. How is it compared to the movie? Is it more like a script than a novel? I have not read the Who Goes There? book either. Is this another novel worth buying? I'd like to hear some feedback on these two novels. Thank you!

Get W H Campbell original, it's a must. Can you buy Bill Lancasters screenplay still? As for Foster doing a version...wow. There is hardly any Thing stuff as it is! Buy it all!
