PASSPORTS
As of this coming Tuesday, Jan. 23rd, 2007 all persons flying into the US will need a valid passport. The new American law, called the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative has been in the works for almost 3 years and the final deadline was announced in November. In June 2009 ALL travellers (land, sea, air) to the US will need a valid passport. So, everyone (even Canadians) planning on going on the Stewart Trip will need a passport regardless of where you are coming from. (Anyone and everyone traveling today should have a valid passport anyway...) The Outpost site lies in B.C. on Canadian soil however it is a switchback route; one must first enter Alaska at Hyder and then almost immediately re-enter Canada into B.C. again where the site lies. There is no direct road access to the filming location from Canada. So, be sure to obtain a passport that will be valid for this trip. T

I'll be getting mine. I live on a border town and will need it just to visit the US. They expire 5 years after issue, in Canada. Here's the Canadian Passport website. http://www.ppt.gc.ca/
