Plateau Well, I hit my plateau.
I dumped 30 lbs REALLY quick and then just. stopped. I realize that some of it is because I'm gaining muscle. However, I want my 6 pack so I'm going to DESTROY those fat cells that are stubbornly clinging to my midsection.
So here is my strategy to deal with this.
Right now I'm doing 6 days of steady state cardio, 20 mins to an hour. I'm always sweating like a hog after, so I know it's quality cardio. I would love to be able to do it in the am, BEFORE breakfast, but this is not feasible with my schedule. Alternatively, I do it after weight-training and before eating a postworkout meal (per Todd's ever-sound advice).
I'm currently doing 2-3 sessions of HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). I call it "The Dirty Name".
I'm going to make it 3 sessions per week MINIMUM from here out. But no more than 4 sessions per week.
