Sci-Fi Channel today
They are going to play The Thing on The Sci-Fi Channel today. I noticed that the TV Guide only gave it two stars. I think that it deserves four stars!

THING on TV party tonight! W'ere going to watch thing on tv tonight.....ALL RIGHT!!!! We'll get scared on the couth...............TONIGHT!!!! We've got nothing better to do, then watch the Thing and have a couple of brews! You get the idea. LOL Have they ever shown that crappola tv version JC'sTT with the goofball naration since when I was a kid?? I actually almost kind of miss it in a wierd way!!!! That should be a kind of Rocky Horror "guilty pleasure" for us Thing fans!!!! lol

Ok, what Blair did to Norwegian Split face, sci-fi channel is doing to all the gore in the movie apparently. *sigh* Should have figured they'd cut some out. I just watched Blair doing the autopsy on the Split Face and they cut the liver, heart kidneys....... The movie doesn't seem to be normal............

Glad I missed it then. And TV guides really misprint the ratings on a lot of movies for some reason. Our TV guide gave Fight Club two stars as well lol

Wow. They sure seemed to want to just hurry through to the ending! Man, if I'd never seen the movie before, I would have been very confused from the blood -*test*-('") scene on. I almost really believe I'd prefere the goofball narration tv version. At least that's good for some laughs!

I now know why tv guide gave it only 2 stars. The critics watched the hack-job that Sci-Fi Channel broadcasted. I was SO disapointed. I need to buy the movie and watch how it is supposed to be!

It changes almost every year. DishNetwork gives it 3 stars. I personally think it deserves about 3 and a half. DishNetwork has usually been pretty fair with movies ratings.

Sci-Fi phooey!
SCI-FI: NO cursing at all. I shut it off as soon as I saw Mac mouth "cheatin' bitch" but didn't hear it. I think I've seen just about every butchered US version there is, except for the elusive CBS re-edit from 1986. --- Critics? I ignore them. Like most people's opinions at film blogs, sites. Everyone sees things differently. My opinions change to suit whatever has got me by the throat at the moment. Case in point, the Thing is always in battle with Escape From New York which is my preferred of the two at the moment.

Cheeting bitch? But what's worse: silence or "BLAST YOU TOO!!!" :lol: :lol: I'm actually starting to want to find a copy of the narration version!!!
