del Toro is directing it? That's a relief. I was afraid some asshole like Shyamalan or Bay might try to work on it.

Excellent links Benson! :D What a find!
This is something that will be definately worth waiting for.
I'm a huge fan of H.P Lovecrafts works and "At the Mountains of Madness" is probably one of his best works.
With Del Toro writing & directing this, I'm certain we'll get a genuinely scary film that will follow the original material faithfully as can be done.
I notred that one of the articles made the comment that comparrisons will be drawn between Mountains of Madness & The Thing.
Although both films have similar themes, shape changing aliens discovered in Antarica that represent a dire threat to humanity, I believe that they are two distinct tales. I am heartened that Del Toro will set the film in the 1930's, giving it the look like Peter Jacksons "King Kong". This will differentiate the films enough I feel but I'm sure that people will leap to make the comparrison anyway and there will be some who will decry that MoM is just a rip off of The Thing. I strongly believe this is not the case.
