The THING 2xCD Score on eBay!
There's a new bootleg on eBay for sale. I have no idea who's made it or if it's for sale on someones homepage. (They usually are...) I think it's a combination of the original score on Varése and cues taken from Butterman's re-edited score and a CDR I bought some year ago called "Original Complete Motion Picture Score". Possibly they've included stuff from the DVD. I seriously doubt that they've got access to Carpenter's ambient cues or Morricone's archive. So, I'm not really interested, and I'm pretty sure this fantastic soundtrack will be re-released in an extended and remastered version soon. Today I found out that "They Live" have officially been re-released on BSX. Only 1000 copies with 16 previously unreleased tracks. Last year BSX re-released "Halloween III" in a limited edition with bonus tracks.
