This may sound stupid to some of you, but... ...well, I've never been in Canada/Alaska before and I already think about some very basic things for the trip in 2009. I really have no idea about how the weather is there during the time of our trip!
What kind of clothing should I take with me? And are there any other things I might need then? Anti-Grizzly-Spray or something like that maybe?

Schnizi,
Not so stupid at all. I think of the return trip often and I know Steve (SPC/AnRkyst) does as well. We are both looking forward to going back, it was an awesome experience.
I'm not sure where in the world you live (?) but the weather should hopefully be good up there in August. I wore shorts and a t-shirt and it was about 70F and sunny both days. You might expect it to be a bit cooler and the high possibility of drizzle/rain. (I think we were blessed with great weather on the 2003 trip.)
Looking forward to having you with us.

Nice to hear that Todd :)
Well, as I said I've never been to the north american continent, but I know from my trip to Japan that you really should rely on people who know their area when asking about the weather, they know better than any travel guide what they're talking about! :)
So thanks for the quick reply dude 8)
I'm from germany btw

Don't know if the summer we went was unusual or not, but I was sweating quite a bit as we hacksawed the chopper blade. The mosquitoes, too, were eating us alive. Gonna have to bring gallons of repellent next time.

Yeah, probably the only bad thing about this trip/location is the bugs. They are insane. They will drive you INSANE. My then g/f stayed in the car at times. (I think while Steve and I were attacking the Norge chopper with a hacksaw...)
