Todd or Chairshot
Is there any way we can get rid of that extremely annoying smilie ad banner that screams "Oh my god! No way!" at me every time I click to open a topic? I swear I'm going to sue whoever made that damned ad! :x

grasshopper- 08-18-2008

Sue him? Can't I just kick him in the groin? Real hard. Please?

Apatheria- 08-18-2008

Ads with sound should just be outright banned from the internet, as nothing on the face of this Earth is more annoying.

Stefan is in charge of the board but I doubt we can drop those ads. The board is free. I have heard that ad a few times and agree it is annoying, I surf with my speakers off and only turn them on when I wanna hear something. T

Piemanthe3rd- 08-18-2008

I use firefox and it seems to block them out

death_rocker110- 08-18-2008

Yeah, Firefox does make them less frequent fortunately, but it's still a crying shame that folks everywhere are still being plagued by that nonsense. I mean, no one ever buys into that crap, so why bother?

Future Filmmaker- 08-19-2008

I use Firefox 3 and it still comes on often. Some admins will pay $5 or something like that and it will keep ads out for 10,000 viewings or something like that.

Surfing on many computers, I have never gotten that ad. I always block pop ups and most of my surfing is done on Firefox and occassionally Safari on a mac.

Future Filmmaker- 08-19-2008

It isn't a pop-up. It's an ad banner.

Tribyen- 08-27-2008

haha! I finally encountered this one. yeah, that would get annoying. good thing I almost never surf with speakers on.

miker- 08-28-2008

Has anyone ever seen that annoying 'singles avatar chat' ad where it says, "hi! my name's Amber. What's yours?" It's almost as bad as Omigod Noway... seriously. That bitch is loud.

death_rocker110- 08-28-2008

Or, "Congratulations, you've been selected to win a free Nintendo Wii." It's sad that they actually make these ads as if they're actually trying to convince the consumer into buying! :?
