Tweaking my program
I've modified my fat burn program in my quest to get down to 3-5%. I am putting my caloric intake at around 2000/day over six meals. I currently weigh 198 lbs. I will post a breakdown detail later. On the weights I am going 6-8 reps with the maximum possible weight I can hump while maintaining strict form. Resting 45 seconds between sets. I am hitting every major muscle group exactly once a week. I am doing HIITs 3-4 times a week for no longer than 30 minutes per session. Getting 8 hours of sleep per night. I know I have been overtraining up to this point and that has stuck me in a nasty plateau. I am hoping this tweak to my program will fix that while burning fat and building some lean muscle.

Looks solid. You will definitely drop weight on only 2000 cals. How are you looking? Progress pics soon...?? T

I definitely will post progress pics. I just want my abs to come out a little more...

I forgot to mention that part of this program tweak includes a recovery day in which I do not train at all, and I take my caloric intake up to 3000 calories on that day, most of the extra calories coming from carbs. This is to shock my metabolism and resupply my muscles with glycogen which is getting depleted by such a restrictive diet coupled with this level of intensity in training. I devised this after I spent 5 days in NY and didn't train much over my stay, but I did eat clean. I came out of that break feeling strong and shortly thereafter made some significant strength and tone gains. I read several articles cautioning against running glycogen low consistently. It certainly induces lipolysis, but it may tax the organs too heavily and have negative impact on the body. This would include the metabolism, which may react by actually slowing down. I theorize that this may be the cause of my plateau. Hopefully a moderate amount of "carb loading" once or twice a week (I'll start with once a week, if that isn't sufficient, I will add a second day) will goose my metabolism, energy, strength and alertness. This in turn should aid me in my quest to burn fat in a healthy, tolerable manner. I'll keep you posted with how this works.

Sounding like you really have this figured out Dave. Nice work. Looking forward to the pics - I plan to take some in about 4-6 weeks. Never stop training..... T
