Wandering off the Edge of the World in THE THING PC Game
I did this twice: At the end of the game (last level) past the big dome complex, near the platform where guys are shooting at you, is a passageway where you go to activate the end of the game where macready picks you up in the helecopter. Before going in to the passageway, or little gully or valley, I ran up the mountain or hill on the left side. I went all the way up on top and walked all the way around the entire game map on the top of the mountains. I walked all the way above the entrance you come out of at the beginning of the level and around the entire map. Some places go deep back into the map with other mountains, but I fell off the "EDGE" and died. On the level where you start out and go up the platform and meet the guy inside the tower, (I can't remember which level this is) but the one where you have to kill three big things inside the building with the radio, where the guy won't move until you do because he doesn't trust you). Anyway, if you follow along the edge of the map, the mountains wall all the way around the furthest exterior of the map, with your character moving as far left as he can go, he will all the sudden start to climb, keep moving as far left as you can, and he will make it to the top of the mountains, and you can walk around the entire map on top of the mountains, if you go to the edge and go too far, you will fall into infinity and then die (even if you're on INVINCIBLE). I never was able to get the character back on top of the mountains on the last level, but the other level I've done it many times.
